LOS ANGELES — La Brea Bakery, an Aspire Bakeries brand, is spicing up its artisan portfolio with the addition of its New York Rye loaf.

Crafted from wheat and rye flour, the bread’s characteristics feature a moist, slightly dense interior with a crispy crust. Caraway seeds, the aromatic hallmark of a classic rye loaf, are both baked into and sprinkled on top of the bread.

The debut of the Non-GMO Project verified, kosher and vegan loaf comes at a time when the demand for rye has been on the rise, with a 7% increase in foodservice menus and a 12.4% increase in rye artisan bread sales.
