Baking industry well represented in NEXTY Award finalists

ANAHEIM, CA — From a pool of roughly 1,000 product submissions, the 2026 NEXTY Awards have selected 164 finalists across 37 categories. These submissions — evaluated based on their innovative nature and product integrity — showcase this niche industry and the emerging brands to keep an eye on.

The baking industry is well represented among the product finalists. On the savory side, several established and up-and-coming snack brands made the list, with products including Crisp Power’s Cheddar Protein Pretzels, Hippie Snacks Dill Pickle Crunchers, Joey Nordic Kitchen Organic Nordic Seed Crisps and Ulu Foods Chia & Sea Salt Breadfruit Bites.

For the bread and bakery segments, Papa Mountain Sweet Potato & Herb Bread Rolls, Oggi Foods Napoletana Gluten-Free Pizza Crust, Truly Indian Tikka Masala Vegan Naan, Queen St. Bakery Supergrain Sourdough Loaf and PACHA Sourdough Buckwheat Tortillas were listed throughout various categories.

Several sweet snack brands were also awarded for their submissions. Lexington Bakes’ Peanut Butter Chip Protein Cookie, Once Again’s Chocolate & Peanut Butter Graham Cracker Sandwich and Olyra’s Blueberry Figs stood out for their prized attributes, including vegan formats and product design.

Continuing on the sweet side, Roaring Fork Mill’s Shortbread Cookies and The London Dough Company’s Chocolate Chip Baked Cookie Dough Skillet made the cut as plant-forward products and frozen desserts, respectively.

The winners will be announced at the NEXTY Awards ceremony, held at the 2026 Natural Products Expo West on March 5.
