EAST HANOVER, NJ — There’s a new OREO flavor headed to store shelves sans the sugar content of its traditional offering.

The Mondelez International cookie brand announced the launch of OREO Zero Sugar, available in Original and Double Stuf varieties, following increased consumer interest in better-for-you, low sugar treats. This addition to the line, hitting store shelves permanently in January, fills a gap in the cookie category for a sugar-free option.

The aspartame-free sandwich cookies are sweetened with maltitol, polydextrose, sucralose and acesulfame potassium.

In addition to the reimagined cookie, the OREO Zero Sugar varieties come in a new stand-up bag design as opposed to its standard resealable trays. Each 7.8-ounce bag is pre-portioned to include 10 packs with two cookies each. The price for these new products is currently listed at $5.29 on the brand’s website.
