EAST HANOVER, NJ — Mondelez International’s Chips Ahoy! brand ventured into new territory with the release of Chips Ahoy! Chewy Ice Cream Sandwich-Inspired Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Inspired by consumers’ innovative use of the brand’s classic chewy cookies combined with ice cream, the limited-edition offering provides a fresh take on the frozen treat. Chips Ahoy! Chewy Ice Cream Sandwich-Inspired Chocolate Chip Cookies feature soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies with a vanilla creme-filled center.

“We’re always looking for ways to treat our fans to new experiences, especially when it ties into something we know many of them are already doing,” said Sabrina Sierant, senior director of US Chips Ahoy!. “Over the years, we’ve seen consumers buying ice cream and Chips Ahoy! cookies together to make ice cream sandwiches in the spring and summer months, so we thought, ‘Why not make a cookie that recreates that iconic summer experience anytime, anywhere?’”

The brand’s existing soft cookie line with filling inclusions features Chewy Chocolatey Hershey’s Fudge and Chewy Red Velvet.

Consumers can find Chips Ahoy! Chewy Ice Cream Sandwich-Inspired Chocolate Chip Cookies in 9.9-ounce resealable packages at grocery stores nationwide for an SRP of $5.29, while supplies last.
