INDIANAPOLIS — To ensure the growth of the workforce and drive productivity, automation has become essential for maintaining profitability in an ever-evolving industry.

The American Society of Baking (ASB) is hosting a Coffee Break Webinar titled Breaking into Automation: Baking’s Roadmap to Optimized Efficiency, Higher Profits & Scalable Growth.

The virtual webinar is set for April 24 at 11 a.m. ET and will cover the factors impacting the baking industry, including labor shortages, rising costs, and increasing consumer demand for consistent, high-quality products.

Led by Harpak-Ulma’s John Weddleton, automation product manager, and Josh Becker, bakery and confection segment manager, the webinar will provide insights into integrating automation in bakery production lines. Weddleton and Becker will break down the ways bakeries can adopt scalable automation solutions, optimize packaging lines and implement vision inspection.

Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the uses of automation and how it enhances efficiency and meets evolving consumer expectations.
