HORSHAM, PA — Grupo Bimbo’s 2024 global campaign, “The Bimbo Dream”, encouraged young athletes around the world and sent 55 girls from 22 countries to train with Aitana Bonmati, a professional soccer player on the Spanish national soccer team.

The girls were selected to travel to the FC Barcelona facilities in Spain for seven days where they had the opportunity to train and live alongside Bonmati.

Bonmati was announced as a global ambassador of the Bimbo brand in 2023, which was made possible by the Bimbo brand becoming the global partner of FC Barcelona and the main partner of FC Barcelona Women in 2022.

During their stay in Barcelona, the girls participated in social and recreational activities and were led in a nutrition workshop held by nutritionists from FC Barcelona. The workshop highlighted the importance of a proper diet to remain healthy and strong.

In preparation for the second global edition of the campaign in 2025, a five-part international campaign will run in Aug. and Sept. 2024 on Bimbo’s social media. The 55 selected participants will share their experiences in five installments.

The global edition of “The Bimbo Dream” follows the success of the project in Argentina in 2023, where Grupo Bimbo supported three Argentinean girls who wanted to become soccer players by providing them with an immersive experience at FC Barcelona.
