CAMDEN, NJ — Campbell Soup Company plans to consolidate its snacks offices in Charlotte, NC, and Norwalk, CT, with its headquarters in Camden, NJ.
Over the next three years, the company plans to invest $50 million to renovate its facilities to bring more than 1,600 employees together in one location. Projects include upgrading existing space and adding new buildings, including a campus center and a snacks R&D center and pilot plant. The move is also expected to drive creativity, collaboration and career development.
“We are thrilled to invest in our people, our facilities and our Camden community, which Campbell has called home for more than 150 years,” said Campbell’s president and CEO Mark Clouse. “We remain committed to our two-division operating model and are confident that being together in one headquarters is the best way for us to continue building a culture that unlocks our full growth potential. This investment will ensure Campbell remains a great place to work and a compelling destination for top talent.”
By consolidating, the company expects to see cost savings at the start of fiscal year 2024 and reach $10 million in annual cost savings by 2026. No commercial roles will be terminated due to the closing of the two office building locations. Campbell will provide relocation support to eligible employees.
