BECKER, MN — Von Hanson’s Snacks, a Minnesota-based seasoned pretzel manufacturer, has announced a production equipment investment as part the company’s strategy to triple its capacity in response to demand from food retailers.

Von Hanson’s Snacks, an offspring of Von Hanson’s Meats, was introduced in 2017 as an extension of the meat products brand and offers seven flavor varieties of seasoned pretzels in reusable, shareable containers. Its success from partnerships with pubs, boutiques and select retailers across the US caused Von Hanson’s Snacks to grow into its own facility, staff and fulfillment center.

In the past few years, the snack brand’s business development team has been able to manage its customer base to achieve product deliveries on-time and in-full. However, the facility’s capabilities are being stretched thin due to growing demand. The new equipment will improve speed, accuracy and yield, allowing the team to expand into the food retail sector.

“While we have been very happy with the demand for this product line, it’s been a real challenge to keep the product moving out the shipping doors on-time, as our customers deserve, said Jon Tennessen, owner and sales manager of Von Hanson’s Snacks. “We hate to turn anyone away from a good partnership, so it became evident that investing in this new seasoning and packaging equipment would enable the company to grow. We chose a brand that is known for accuracy and speed while being made in the USA.”
