NOTTINGHAM, PA — Herr Foods Inc. (Herr’s) is honoring its 80-year history of family-led leadership with the ascent of Troy Gunden to CEO and president.

“I am humbled and excited to step into this role,” Gunden said. “Herr’s is more than a company — it’s a family, a legacy and a commitment to our employees, customers and community. I look forward to building on the foundation my grandparents and the second generation created, as we deliver the snacks people love and trust.”

Gunden has been a part of Herr’s for more than two decades, serving in an array of leadership roles. He succeeds Ed Herr, who will now serve as executive chair of the board, making Gunden the third-generation family member to lead the snack company.

“Leading Herr’s has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” Herr said. “I am deeply proud of the growth we’ve achieved and the strong culture we’ve built together. With Troy’s leadership, I am confident Herr’s will thrive for generations to come.”
