SAN FRANCISCO — Known for its better-for-you, keto-friendly baked goods, Hero Bread is bringing its portfolio to more consumers with its debut at Target.

The expansion marks a significant milestone in Hero’s retail plans, placing the brand’s two sliced bread varieties in approximately 400 Target locations across 30 states — notably in California, Minnesota and Illinois — spanning both Super Target and Pfresh formats.

The SKUs include Hero Classic White Bread — with 0 grams of net carbs, 45 calories, 11 grams of fiber, 5 grams of protein and 0 grams of sugar — and Hero Seeded Bread — with 1 gram of net carbs, 60 calories, 12 grams of fiber, 6 grams of protein and 0 grams of sugar. The seeded bread is baked with whole pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and flax seeds.

Hero Bread’s total retail footprint now totals approximately 9,000 stores nationwide, including Whole Foods Market, Sprouts Farmers Market, Wegmans, Publix, Safeway/Albertsons, Walmart, Meijer and select Kroger banners.
