DOVER, DE — Santatera Capital is investing $1 million in Sunnie, a clean-label snack brand dedicated to supporting families seeking better-for-you choices.

Santatera’s investment will support Sunnie’s operations, inventory, working capital needs and plans for growth as the snack brand scales to meet increasing demand.

“We’re seeing a clear shift in how parents approach food,” said Ian Paul Otero, managing partner at Santatera Capital. “Clean label, allergy-friendly and no compromise on taste is quickly becoming the new baseline. Sunnie is right at the heart of that movement, with a standout product, strong early traction and a clear roadmap to scale. We’re proud to support them in this next chapter.”

Sunnie was founded by two mothers who found themselves scouring the shelves for healthy yet convenient options for their kids’ lunch boxes. To combat this scarcity, they created baked crackers and snack packs made with whole food ingredients and none of the top allergens.

“We set out to develop snacks that truly met modern families’ evolving standards: products free from refined sugars, seed oils, artificial preservatives and ‘natural flavors’ that aren’t natural at all,” said Katy Tucker and Lisette Howard, founders of Sunnie. “We believe parents shouldn’t have to choose between convenience and clean nutrition, especially during the busiest years of raising children. Sunnie represents our solution to this everyday challenge: thoughtfully crafted snacks that provide the nutrition children need and the convenience parents require, without compromising on quality or ingredients.”

Consumers can find Sunnie’s products — including Sunflower Butter and Jam Snacks, Flatbread Pizza Snacks, Cocoa Snacks and Hummus Snacks — in Whole Foods and Target locations nationwide and on the brand’s website.
