PHOENIX — Strictly From Scratch, a Phoenix-based commercial bakery that manufactures breakfast products, desserts and breads for large-scale wholesale distribution, is celebrating its 30-year milestone in 2025.

“We are the ‘go-to guys’ because we make great products,” said Rudy DePaola, owner and founder of Strictly From Scratch. “We strive for excellence and solid consistency in everything we do, and we listen to our customers’ needs when it comes to products and budget. Our motto is simple: Do what you do and do it well. We all make mistakes, but it’s how you react to those mistakes that matter.”

Since its founding in 1995 as a distribution company, Strictly From Scratch quickly developed into a bakery that now occupies 95,000 square feet and has 180 employees.

With fresh local products and a national distribution of frozen products in retailers such as Walmart, Trader Joe’s, and Costco, the company has more than 800 clients and is in the top 20 suppliers to the airline industry.

“We do not say ‘no’ to new product research and development,” DePaola continued. “That is huge for us; we test new products every single day. We will do whatever we can, within reason.”
