ST-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU, QC — St. Johns Packaging has completed the acquisition of Australian printer-converter Flexible Packaging Solutions (FPS).

Operating out of a state-of-the-art facility in Brisbane, Australia, FPS is a key player in the Australian food packaging market. Its capabilities range from laser perforated films to box bags and stand-up pouches, supplying customers across a wide range of industries.

“We are delighted to welcome FPS’s experienced management team and highly qualified employees to the St. Johns Packaging family,” said Marc Leclair, president and CEO of St. Johns. “Having established a strong competitive position in the North American and UK bakery packaging markets, this acquisition will enable us to integrate FPS into our broader Asia Pacific operations, bolstering our competitive position in that market.”

By acquiring FPS, St. Johns will strengthen its management team and diversify its manufacturing capabilities, product mixes, customer bases and geographic footprint. Leclair noted the company is on the lookout for similar opportunities.
