LOS ANGELES — Upcycled sweet potato snack company Spudsy announced a retail distribution expansion for its Sweet Potato Puffs and Fries.
The company’s seven flavor varieties —three for puffs and four for fries — can now be found in nearly 3,000 CVS locations and US grocery stores including H-E-B, Albertsons-Safeway, Stater Bros. and Hudson News for a total of more than 4,000 distribution points.
“Our goal at Spudsy is to never compromise on taste, nutrition or sustainability as we offer a crunchy, sweet or savory, better-for-you snack,” said Ashley Rogers, founder of Spudsy. “We’re thrilled to bring our sweet potato snacks to more consumers across the country and build on our mission. As we expand and reach a wider audience, we look forward to upcycling these ‘perfectly imperfect’ sweet potatoes to cut down on food waste.”
The better-for-you baked snacks are made from imperfect potatoes, with each truckload of finished product saving about 150,000 potatoes from being discarded. Both Puffs and Fries are vegan, gluten-free, kosher and non-GMO. The Sweet Potato Puffs are also top nine allergen free.
In addition to its new distribution location, Spudsy products can be purchased on the company’s website and at retailers including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Wegmans, select Kroger stores, Amazon and more for a suggested retail price of $3.99.
