HOUSTON — Better-for-you bread manufacturer Sola expanded its snacking platform with the Walmart-exclusive launch of Sola Bites, peanut-butter-stuffed bite-sized bagels.
Sola Bites deliver 11 grams of protein, 17 grams of fiber, 0 grams of added sugar, and 4 grams of net carbs per serving. The new SKU is also Non-GMO Project verified and contains no artificial preservatives, colors or flavors.
“Shoppers today want more protein, more fiber and more nutrition in every bite,” said Kevin Brouillette, president of Sola.
The launch builds on the rapid growth of Sola Bagels, which debuted in September 2024 and saw approximately 70% of consumers eating them outside of traditional breakfast occasions, according to company research. That success spurred Sola to leverage its existing brand awareness while expanding consumption by innovating within the bagel category. The bites provide broad appeal across breakfast, snacking, lunch and post-workout occasions.
“[The launch] is part of a broader shift in how people eat and think about wellness — and younger shoppers especially are snacking instead of sitting down to three square meals to reach their health goals,“ Brouillette said. “Walmart gives us the opportunity to introduce Sola Bites to millions of shoppers, and we’re excited for consumers to discover our newest peanut butter-filled snack. We believe it’s a strong addition to better-for-you snack options and a product that can help drive excitement and incremental sales in the category.”
Sola Bites are available for purchase in two flavors, Grape & Peanut Butter and Strawberry & Peanut Butter, at an SRP of $6.48.
