SOUDERTON, PA – SideDrive Conveyor Co. announced today that it will be showcasing its hygienic spiral conveyors at the PACK EXPO Las Vegas tradeshow, to be held Sept. 27-29 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The conveyor’s modular plastic spiral conveyor systems adapt to plant and manufacturing needs, making it a solution that can be used to move products up a floor or to another production stage. It also offers a high level of hygienic standards.
The machine is fit for a variety of applications including naked, raw and packaged food products. SideDrive’s hygienic spiral conveyors utilize side drive technology from Intralox and can be configured in many ways — curved, spiral, with turns, multiple inclines and declines or straight — and without any transfers.
Hygienic features in the conveyor system include drumless or cageless spiral design for easy cleaning access, a stainless-steel frame with smooth welds that allow debris and water to wash away, sloped surfaces to prevent standing water, and more.
In addition, the company noted that SideDrive’s food safe conveyors are uniquely designed to offer a low cost of ownership. Lightweight plastic materials increase belt life by managing tension while the system is in motion, making it less likely to fatigue. This feature is combined with a non-transfer belt path to reduce product loss by up to 80% while simultaneously maintaining product integrity.
The product will be showcased at booth LS-6127 during PACK EXPO Las Vegas and at the Process Expo 2021, to be held in Chicago Nov. 2-5.
