The brand’s Texas Toast is made with real butter, garlic, parsley and Rudi’s signature sourdough bread slices. Available in two varieties — Garlic and Three Cheese with Garlic — the product is also available as a gluten-free offering.

“We’re so excited to partner with Whole Foods to introduce our new line of Texas Toast,” said Jane Miller, CEO of Rudi’s Bakery. “Using our signature sourdough bread as the base, topped with clean-label butter, garlic and cheese, this presents an incredible opportunity for Rudi’s to provide consumers with delicious and nutritious options.”

Rudi’s will also continue its presence in the frozen section in early 2024 with Breakfast Sandwiches, made nitrate-free and from cage-free eggs. The artisan bakery brand will also roll out Sandos, a portable peanut butter and jelly sandwich with 50% less sugar that is also available in a nut-free option.

Justin Gold, chief innovation and strategy officer at Rudi’s Bakery and founder of Justin’s Peanut Butter joined Rudi’s team earlier this year to strive to deliver healthier food options for America.

“Rudi’s meets consumers at the nexus of healthy grab-and-go offerings, helping them make more mindful label choices without compromising on delicious taste or quality,” Gold said. “We’re really looking forward to the launch of these awesome products and can’t wait to see where we go from here.”

Rudi’s Texas Toast will be available for purchase at Whole Foods Market locations in-store and online at an MSRP of $7.99 for the Garlic option and $8.99 for the Three Cheese and Garlic variety.
