ROBESONIA, PA — Reading Bakery Systems (RBS) announced the addition of Phillip Stringer as director of the snack production systems manufacturer’s Science and Innovation Center (S&IC).
Stringer’s new role includes overseeing the S&IC facility, staff management, customer on-site and virtual product trials, research and development projects.
“We are pleased to welcome Phillip Stringer to the RBS Family,” said Travis Getz, VP, operations. “His technical, operational and process development background make him a great addition to the S&IC team to optimize and lead our innovation operations. I have no doubt he will build upon the S&IC’s performance record in quality, delivery and customer experience excellence.”
Previously, Stringer worked in a number of technical operations roles at Nature’s Bakery, in process development at Pharmative and as a research associate for the US Department of Energy.
Stringer has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, AL, and an MBA from Webster University in St. Louis. He also holds certifications in pharmaceuticals and lean manufacturing.
