HORSHAM, PA — The latest innovation from Thomas’, a brand under Bimbo Bakeries USA, packed protein into its classic breakfast staple.
Thomas’ High Protein Bagels are designed for consumers intent on upping the amount of protein in their diets. Available in Plain and Everything varieties, each bagel boasts 20 grams of protein.
“Today’s consumers are looking for convenient, protein-rich options that don’t compromise on taste,” said Jinder Bhogal, senior brand manager for Thomas’. “Our new High Protein Bagels offer consumers variety with a breakfast solution that’s not only packed with nutrition but also rooted in the iconic flavor Thomas’s is known for.”
Thomas’ newest offering features a plant-based blend of soy protein isolate, pea protein isolate and fava bean proteins.
“We set out to create a protein-forward product that fits into real life, whether you’re topping it with cream cheese, eggs, or avocado,” said Nicole Alper, innovation manager for Thomas’. “It’s versatile, satisfying, and designed with wellness in mind.”
Thomas’ High Protein Bagels are currently available in the Northeast for an SRP of $5.99 and will reach national retail distribution by October.
