CHICAGO — Transforming the traditional hot dog bun aisle, Pringles, now under the Mars, Inc. umbrella, debuted a first-of-its-kind line of potato-based buns infused with three of its consumer-favorite flavors.

Pringles Pop Dog Buns are an extension of the brand’s “Once You Pop, The Pop Don’t Stop” campaign, designed to offer consumers a new way to experience the summer cooking staple. Sized at 7.5 inches long, the buns are packaged in the classic Pringles cans to maintain brand recognition as it extends beyond the chip aisle.

“With our new ‘Once You Pop’ campaign, our mission is to continually deliver the unexpected to our fans, which is why we’re reimagining ordinary buns and transforming them into an extraordinarily flavorful experience fit for our iconic cans,” said Mauricio Jenkins, salty snacks brand and content lead for Mars Snacking North America. “We wanted to take something everyone knows and completely flip it into an exciting new snackable experience.”

The limited-edition buns are available in three flavors: Sour Cream & Onion, BBQ and Honey Mustard. In celebration of National Hot Dog Day, the brand is giving consumers two chances to get a free limited-edition bun: July 8 and July 15. The buns will be free with the purchase of a Pringles 3-pack on OnceYouPopMarket.com and on Pringles’ official social media shops, while supplies last.
