LOS ANGELES — Costco shoppers in Southern California will be treated to two new La Monarca Bakery cookie varieties this holiday season: Mexican Hot Chocolate Polvorone Cookies and Mexican Wedding Cookies. The Mexican food brand, which has been growing its distribution over the past couple of years,  is also known for its authentic pan dulce.

“We’re thrilled to launch two new cookies to Costco members,” said La Monarca Bakery co-founder and CEO Ricardo Cervantes. “The Hot Chocolate Polvorone is an updated twist on the classic polvorone, made with our popular Mexican Chocolate Beverage Mix. We start with fair-trade cacao and use only simple ingredients. Made with real butter and pecans, our Wedding Cookies are one of our most popular offerings.”

Both varieties are available in 24-ounce containers for an SRP of $9.99.
