MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills Foodservice has released a new twist on baked croissants with Pillsbury Freezer-to-Oven Chocolate Swirled Croissants.
The ready-to-bake croissants require no proofing or thawing and can be made in 30 minutes. The scratch-like croissants can help foodservice operations on an as-needed basis with no advanced planning necessary.
Featuring 48 flaky layers with semi-sweet Barry Callebaut Belgian-style chocolate, the European-style croissants have chocolate layered into every bite. The product is also free of high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils and artificial flavors.
General Mills Foodservice previously introduced the classic butter variant of Freezer-to-Oven croissants in 2021.
Available in 1.5- or 3-oz. sizes, the croissants feature a proprietary technology which allows the product to be stored flat to maximize freezer space.
Additional information on the croissants, recipes, a rebate and more can be found on the General Mills Foodservice website.
