MINNEAPOLIS — Back for its 52nd iteration, the Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest enlisted the help of Donna Kelce, also known as Mama Kelce, mother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Pillsbury, a General Mills brand, originally introduced the contest in 1949 to inspire nationwide bakers and home cooks to submit their creations.

On a mission to celebrate family holidays and the dishes that accompany them, this year’s bake-off winner will receive Mama Kelce’s stamp of approval and win a grand prize of $50,000.

“There’s something so special about a recipe that stands the test of time and brings joy to the table every holiday season,” Kelce said. “I’ve been baking my family’s favorite holiday dish for decades. I can’t wait to see other families submit their best holiday dishes to this year’s Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest, and I am looking forward to finding new inspiration for my own family holiday meals!”

Lifelong baker and holiday host, Kelce crafted her own signature crescent roll recipe, pulling inspiration from the 1969 Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest-winning recipe, Pillsbury’s Magic Marshmallow Crescent Puffs.

“During each Pillsbury Bake-Off contest, we love to see Pillsbury fans sprinkle their creativity into home-baked recipes that they share with loved ones,” said Gini Mines, brand experience senior manager at Pillsbury. “With Donna’s beloved recipe and home baking skills and the Doughboy’s trusted approval, the hosts are a winning duo, and we can’t wait for them to uncover our fans’ best holiday family-favorite recipes this season.”
