Nutri-Grain debuts refresh of signature bars, packaging

CHICAGO — After more than 30 years, Nutri-Grain is undergoing a refresh. As part of this new chapter, the Kellanova brand’s signature bars now feature 10 grams of whole grains and 10 vitamins and minerals, wrapped in bright packaging.

A recent Tufts University study found whole grain consumption ranges from 39% to 61% of what’s advised by nutrition experts. Because of this, Nutri-Grain relies on whole grains to bridge the gap between nourishment and convenient snacks. The reimagined bars deliver wholesome ingredients with consumer favorite flavors, including Strawberry and Apple Cinnamon.

“This refresh is about giving people the nutrition they want and need — in a way that feels familiar, but even more relevant to what they look for in a snack,” said Eileen Flaherty, brand marketing director at Kellanova. “We’ve upgraded the nutrition and made it easier to navigate the shelf while still delivering the delicious flavor Nutri-Grain is known for.”

Nutri-Grain’s new bars are hitting shelves nationwide. The brand will roll out the refresh beyond the grocery aisle with activations designed to invite consumers to participate.
