ORLANDO, FL — The American Bakers Association (ABA) is gearing industry participants up for its upcoming annual convention March 23-26 in Orlando, FL. During the final day, attendees can join NextGenBaker for an immersive leadership session in partnership with the Disney Institute.
The session will explore Disney’s approach to leadership excellence and provide insights into elevating teams to succeed within their organizations.
“The Disney Institute Workshop at NextGenBaker offers a unique opportunity for leadership development in the commercial baking industry,” said Pippa O’Shea, senior manager of events and programming for ABA. “Attendees will learn Disney’s leadership principles, including how to align personal values with organizational vision and inspire sustained excellence. The session includes expert-led content, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, fostering strategic thinking and innovation.”
The half-day workshop will include interactive activities led by a Disney facilitator and a trip to Disney World for an exclusive look at the field in action.
“A special behind-the-scenes field experience at Walt Disney World Resort allows participants to see leadership in action,” O’Shea added. “This immersive training equips rising executives with actionable strategies to drive positive change within their organizations while strengthening connections within the commercial baking industry.”
Registration for the workshop includes a complimentary one-day pass to ABA’s 2025 Convention on March 25. Guests will receive additional educational opportunities, including trends presentations and customer panels, and networking opportunities with bakers, suppliers and industry partners.
