WOLFERTSCHWENDEN, GERMANY — Multivac has purchased 18.78 acres of land to house the new Fritsch headquarters. The relocation will combine all of the company’s business operations onto one site instead of its current five locations in Kitzingen and Mark Einersheim.

“As part of a sustainable infrastructure for the Multivac Group’s new building, there are also several measures planned for the new company site to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” said Christian Traumann, CEO of Multivac Group. “We want to use groundwater to heat and cool the building complex. We also want to use as much self-generated energy as possible for the energy supply with a photovoltaic system and a combined heat and power unit.”

The more than 200,000-square-foot building will include production halls, assembly facilities and Fritsch’s technology center, The World of Bakery. In addition to the expansive facility, around 53,000 square feet will be set aside to create offices and social facilities for the almost 480 current staff members.

“Fritsch is for us a strategically important business unit,” Traumann continued. “We are posting a very positive order situation in the bakery section of the group’s business, and we see a lot of potential within our subsidiaries for the entire machinery range from Fritsch. Thanks to the new company headquarters, which will combine all of Fritsch’s business activities on one site, we will be able to carry out our manufacturing processes even more efficiently.”

Building is set to commence at the end of 2025 with the relocation planned for Q3 of 2027.
