CHICAGO — Applications for the 2026 edition of Mondelez International’s CoLab Tech program are open now through March 31.
The accelerator program — run by the baking company’s global R&D team — seeks to collaborate with early-stage entrepreneurs developing snack-forward technologies that show potential for scaling and commercialization.
“As the maker of some of the world’s most iconic and beloved snacks like OREO, RITZ and Toblerone, we must constantly push the boundaries of what it takes to unlock better, faster and more responsible ways of delighting consumers,” said Ian Noble, VP of R&D at Mondelez. “Technology is critical for growth, and CoLab Tech connects us with innovators with whom we can partner to accelerate our capabilities, share our expertise, and make a real impact.”
For this year’s edition, Mondelez is seeking technology that can support four key priorities: Climate Resilience, Breakthrough Performance Technologies, Next-Generation Ingredients, and Delightful Product and Packaging.
Paula Hemerly, leader of the CoLab Tech program, noted that this year’s cohort is crucial for sustaining and growing Mondelez’s leadership.
“We are experiencing seismic shifts in consumer consumption and shopping behaviors, global supply chain disruptions, an explosion of digital commerce and heightened appreciation for indulgence,” she said. “CoLab Tech helps us envision and apply the future to our business, while supporting those who are pioneering the next generation of snack-centric technologies.”
The program will offer the participants mentorship from experts spanning the value chain, networking opportunities, ecosystem building, storytelling and visibility.
