ELGIN, IL — Middleby Corp. is growing with news of its latest acquisition.

The company announced the expansion of its Middleby Food Processing portfolio with the addition of Oka-Spezialmaschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG (Oka), a Darmstadt, Germany-based designer and manufacturer of industrial extrusion, molding, depositing and cutting production equipment for markets including bakery.

“Oka is a perfect complement and strategic fit, adding important product categories to our solutions for bakery customers,” said Tim FitzGerald, CEO of Middleby. “Oka is known for its advanced engineering capabilities, with an ability to provide unique and high-value customer-driven solutions.”

The deal supports the company’s ability to provide long-term shareholder value for this part of the business, an essential move in light of the creation of Middleby’s standalone food processing business, set to solidify in 2026.
