RICHMOND, VA — Markel Food Group (MFG), a leader in automated food processing solutions, announced the expansion of CFO Cindy Yao’s leadership role in the company. In addition to her current position, Yao will take on the additional responsibility of executive VP for the company.
Yao will lead growth of business and development of the team to meet the strategic objectives of AMF China, Reading Bakery Systems (RBS) and Solbern. Leaders in these companies will report to Yao, who will then report to CEO Ken Newsome.
Among the new responsibilities, Yao will also manage a cross-functional group of Markel Business System (MBS) teammates that support MFG companies including AMF Bakery Systems, RBS and Solbern.
MBS is an integrated business system that drives continuous improvement, management and design that supports MFG’s business processes and strategic deployment. Within the group of aforementioned companies, MBS is enables to create market leading products for the industrial food industry and more through the development of its people.
