CHARLOTTE, NC — In its latest limited-time offer, Krispy Kreme has combined its staple donuts with another fried sweet treat: churros.
“If you love classic churros or our Original Glazed Donuts, you’re going to love this light and airy, cinnamon-y, caramel-y, creamy, sugary goodness we’ve created,” said Dave Skena, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme.
The first ChurrDough Collection for the brand features swirly donuts tossed in cinnamon sugar and topped with unique toppings for three different flavor offerings.
The Cinnamon Sugar Churrdough includes cinnamon Kreme swirls on top with salted caramel pieces. Inspired by the popular sandwich cookie, the Cookies and Kreme Churrdough is decorated with chocolate coolie Kreme, chocolate cookie pieces and drizzles of chocolate icing. Dulce De Leche Churrdough rounds out the flavor offerings with cream cheese icing swirls, cookie pieces and dulce de leche drizzle.
