LEAWOOD, KS — Protein ball company simplyFUEL was recognized on the Inc. 5000 list, which highlights the most dynamic private companies in America, celebrating innovation, entrepreneurship and impactful revenue growth. The brand ranked No. 61 nationwide, No. 4 in food and beverage, and No. 1 in both Kansas and the Kansas City metro area.
Founded by sports dietitian Mitzi Dulan, simplyFUEL was created during her time as the Kansas City Royals’ team sports dietitian. She made protein balls to fuel players and power them through a World Series win.
“This recognition is a testament to what a small but mighty team can accomplish,” Dulan said. “From making protein balls in my kitchen, to the KC Royals clubhouse, to Costco shelves — it’s been an incredible journey. Being ranked among the top 100 fastest-growing companies in the country and knowing we’re the No. 1 selling protein ball in America is truly humbling. I’m forever grateful to the Kansas City Royals players for inspiring this journey.”
The brand’s protein balls are available nationwide at Sam’s Club and in select Walmart stores, with another major retail launch in the works.
