ORRVILLE, OH — The J.M. Smucker Co.’s Hostess welcomed two new snack cakes to its product portfolio, Donettes Fritter Rings and Cupcakes Minis.
Ideal for sharing, the Donettes Fritter Rings come in a new pull-apart bubble design and feature a sweet glaze, real apple pieces and cinnamon.
“As leaders in snacking innovation, we speak to everyone’s snack cravings and bringing joy to everyday moments, and our Donettes Fritter Rings do just that,” said Becky Yadav, senior brand manager at Hostess Brands. “With their fun, pull-apart shape and comforting apple cinnamon flavor, these fritter-inspired donuts are the ultimate snackable delight.”
Each Donettes Fritter Rings box features six 1.73-ounce individually wrapped donuts.
Cupcakes Minis are a bite-size twist on the brand’s signature Cupcakes and feature the same chocolate cake, whipped creme filling and Squiggle topping. The smaller size makes it best suited for on-the-go snacking occasions.
“We craft all of our products with people’s busy lives in mind, which is why we’ve made the No. 1 cupcake mini increase its portability,” said Aundrea Graver, director of brand marketing at Hostess Brands. “From car to pantry, Hostess Cupcakes Minis offer a perfectly sized snack for whenever a sweet craving hits.”
The new Cupcakes variation will be sold in single-serve pouches with three mini cakes each and a 6-count box with two mini cakes per pouch.
Both Donettes Fritter Rings and Cupcakes Minis are available at major retailers nationwide.
