NEW YORK — Organic chickpea snack brand HIPPEAS is relaunching its tortilla chips with new Sea Salt & Lime flavor.
“The improved HIPPEAS Chickpea Tortilla Chip line fulfills direct consumer feedback, and we are really proud about where we landed with this innovation,” said Paul Nardone, CEO of HIPPEAS.
The new rendition of HIPPEAS Chickpea Tortilla Chips have increased crunch and a texture similar to traditional tortilla chips. Additionally, the chips are vegan, organic and gluten-free, which falls in line with other products from the company. Each 1-oz. serving has 3g of protein and 3g of fiber.
“This product really stands up well next to its mainstream competitor from a taste and texture standpoint, but that’s where the comparisons end because HIPPEAS Chickpea Tortilla Chips are organic and vegan and contain both protein and fiber and no artificial colors, flavors or ingredients of any kind,” Nardone said.
Sea Salt & Lime is the third flavor variety in addition to the classic Straight Up Sea Salts and Rockin’ Ranch flavors.
