The better-for-you bread brand debuted Hero Hawaiian Rolls, which balances taste with nutrition. The rolls include 0 grams of net carbs and sugar as well as 4 grams of protein and 11 grams of fiber per serving. In using a resistant wheat starch to serve as a prebiotic fiber, the rolls also promote gut health.

“When it comes to new product launches at Hero, we pick what we know that we can deliver as a phenomenal consumer organoleptic (look + taste + smell + feel) experience,” said Cole Glass, co-founder of Hero Bread. “Hawaiian Rolls have a very specific profile with an extremely high level of customer loyalty and high taste expectations. We at Hero put a great deal of time into ensuring that we could deliver that same experience (or better) in an end product that also delivers the nutritional profile and benefits that we hold as gold standards for Hero: 0-1 net carbs, 0g sugar, high fiber and protein, calorie reduction, and clean ingredients.”

Each package of Hero Hawaiian Rolls includes two 12-count packs, totaling 24 rolls for $33.99 on the brand’s website. The rolls can freeze for up to four months or be eaten up to five days after consumers receive them.

“We have a moment with all of our products once we’ve finished a production run where we taste the end result,” Glass continued. “When products elicit that uncontrollable smile after your first bite and everyone keeps asking for more, we know we have a winner. That was 100% the case with Hero’s new Hawaiian Rolls.”
