Hero Bread adds classic flavor to bagel lineup

SAN FRANCISCO — Hero Bread, a better-for-you bread and baked goods manufacturer, introduced Everything Bagels to its Chef-Crafted collection.

Boasting a nutrient-dense blend of fava bean flour and other plant-based ingredients, these bagels join the Classic Plain in the company’s existing lineup.

“To truly capture the hearts of bagel lovers, we have to give them the flavors they crave, and Everything is high on that list,” said YuChiang Cheng, CEO of Hero Bread. “We had to make sure our Everything Bagels taste amazing — think spices baked in throughout the bagel both inside and out. Every bite is full of flavor.”

The new Everything Bagels feature 5 grams of carbs, 20 grams of fiber and 17 grams of protein. The toasted onion and garlic flavor profile is combined with poppy and sesame seeds to deliver the traditional crunch and texture.

“For Hero Bagels, we maximized the protein,” Cheng added. “The biggest challenge was to keep the calories and net carbs well below the competition, and we managed to do just that. We are very proud of Hero’s bagels and are thrilled to see Everything join the collection.”
