Grain Craft acquires Bunge’s North American milling assets

CHATTANOOGA, TN — Grain Craft, an independent US flour miller, signed an agreement to acquire the North American dry corn milling assets from global ingredients company, Bunge.

The acquisition encompasses approximately 600 team members and six milling facilities, including three dry corn milling facilities in Crete, NE, Atchison, KS, and Danville, IL, and three dry masa facilities in Muleshoe, TX, Red Oak, IA, and Worthington, IN.

Grain Craft will also acquire a transload and packaging facility in Queretaro, Mexico, and will maintain the headquarters of the dry corn milling division in St. Louis.

“We are excited to welcome the Bunge corn milling team to our Grain Craft family,” said Pete Frederick, president and CEO of Grain Craft. “This transformational acquisition expands our product offerings into an adjacent category and, along with the expertise of our entire team, will enhance our ability to service our customers across a broader spectrum of food ingredients.”

A closing date has not yet been established. The sale completion is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
