WASHINGTON, DC — The Grain Foods Foundation (GFF) announced the addition of Marlene Sidhu, VP of innovation at Bimbo Bakeries USA (BBU), to its board of trustees.
“Marlene brings deep industry insight and a passion for advancing grain-based nutrition,” GFF said via LinkedIn. “We’re grateful for BBU’s long-standing partnership and excited to continue this important work together.
Sidhu succeeds Lorraine Hale, VP and general manager at BBU, who is retiring after serving on the GFF board for several years.
“Lorraine has been a steadfast advocate for the grain foods industry, and her guidance has helped shape GFF’s mission and momentum,” the association continued via LinkedIn. “We wish her all the best in this next chapter.”
Earlier this year, GFF appointed new board leaders during the Board of Trustees meeting. This includes Penny Patterson-Smith of Flowers Foods as grain foods manufacturer co-chair; Bruce King of Grain Craft as miller co-chair; and Angie Quinn of Moment Group as treasurer.
