The award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., a global statistics portal and industry ranking provider. America’s Most Responsible Companies were selected based on publicly available metrics derived from company reports and other data sources, as well as an independent survey.

The review of the reports focused on 30 key performance indicators in the environmental, social and corporate governance areas. The independent survey was conducted among US residents to gauge public opinion of corporate social responsibility. The final list recognizes the top 600 companies taking action to uphold their social responsibility.

This is General Mill’s seventh consecutive year landing on the list and ranking No. 2 in the Retail and Consumer Goods industry. For more information on General Mills’ commitments and progress, visit the company’s Global Responsibility Report.
