MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills has named Asheesh Saksena as the new chief strategy and growth officer.

Saksena brings prior experience handling operations, technology and diversification strategies, as well as cultivating company growth and portfolio expansion. He will join the senior leadership team and be responsible for the company’s comprehensive strategic planning process as well as building long-term, sustainable plans to accelerate growth.

This announcement follows the appointment of the previous role holder, Dana McNabb, to group president, North American retail.
