PHILADELPHIA, PA — Gemini Bakery Equipment, the largest provider of specialty bread and roll equipment and systems in North America, has announced an expansion of its executive team with the hiring of Scott Young as COO.
Young comes from a technical and operations background and brings more than 15 years of bakery industry experience to Gemini. He most recently held positions as the director of bakeshop operations and director of quality assurance at Wegman’s Food Markets in Rochester, NY.
“Scott’s expertise and experience will complement and strengthen our team,” said company representatives in a statement. “Gemini will celebrate its 50-year anniversary in 2022. We are excited to have Scott help lead us into a promising future of growth and success for Gemini and our customers.”
Gemini was established in 1972 by Mark Rosenberg, a member of a family with deep roots in the bakery equipment business. The company employs approximately 125 people across three locations and has annual consolidated sales of up to $40 million.
