THOMASVILLE, GA — Flowers Foods has made a new addition to its c-suite, naming D. Anthony Scaglione its CFO, effective Jan. 1. In this role, Scaglione will guide the company’s financial strategy and oversee the following: treasury, accounting, investor relations, tax, internal audit, risk, procurement and information security functions, reporting to chair and CEO Ryals McMullian.

“With extensive experience across a broad range of disciplines and a track record of successfully leading high-performing teams, Anthony brings strategic insight and operational rigor that will drive our next phase of growth,” McMullian said.

Scaglione has previously served as CFO for multiple public and private multi-billion-dollar organizations, including Total Wine & More, ODP Corp., and ABM Industries. In addition to all core finance functions, his leadership experience spans real estate, M&A, strategy and IT.

“Over the course of his career, Anthony has proven his ability to deliver tangible value to shareholders, and I am confident his leadership will greatly benefit Flowers’ business as we navigate an increasingly complex and competitive landscape,” McMullian added.

Scaglione will succeed Steve Kinsey, who will retire from Flowers at year-end and serve in an advisory role to ensure a seamless transition.
