THOMASVILLE, GA — Flowers Foods issues a voluntary recall for Tastykake and Mrs. Freshley’s glazed pies due to undeclared soy.
People who are allergic or soy sensitive run a life threating allergic reaction if they consume the products.
Products included in the recall were distributed Sept. 26 – Oct. 6 the recalled products were issued to retail and vending customers throughout US, Canada and Mexico. Potentially impacted packages include either a “Enjoy By” date of 10/28/2022 through 11/07/2022 and/or product codes 307 2263 through 307 2274 printed on the front.
The recall was discovered following the discovery that certain pies were produced with an ingredient that contained soy not listed on the label. As of now, no illness or incidents have been reported to date.
People allergic to soy should not consume the products if the “Enjoy By” dates, UPC and/or product codes listed below are printed on their product’s packaging.
