CHICAGO — Eli’s Cheesecake, a third-generation family-owned baking company, kicks off its year-long 45th anniversary celebration with slice after slice of engagement.

In tandem with National Cheesecake Day on July 30, Eli’s Cheesecake will pass out free cheesecake across Chicago at an assortment of locations. This includes Eli M. Schulman Playground at Seneca Park, DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center, and Chicago History Museum.

The baking company, which has historically given back to its community, will continue its philanthropic thread with dessert donations to the medical staff at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, Northwestern Medicine and Lurie Children’s Hospital. First responders will also receive treats from Eli’s for National Cheesecake Day.

Consumers can nab a slice for $0.45 at the bakery’s storefront on West Forest Preserve Drive.

The celebration continues with the return of Cheesecake Sundae. The chocolate cheesecake features scoops of strawberry and banana cheesecake, Eli’s signature chocolate shortbread cookie crust, and is topped with chocolate ganache, whipped cream, sprinkles and an Amarena cherry.
