MINNEAPOLIS — Edwards Desserts, a frozen creme pie brand, launched its new Midnight Chocolate flavor in time for a special giveaway to celebrate National Dessert Day on Oct. 14.

The new pie features a cookie-crumb crust with rich chocolate filling infused with butter fudge and topped with chocolate accents.

“Our new Midnight Chocolate pie showcases our commitment to continued innovation and delicious, unmatched flavor,” said Dorothy Johnson, senior marketing manager for Edwards. “This latest addition to our family of pies and cheesecakes is sure to be a fan favorite, and we can’t wait to prove it to all our fellow pie lovers by giving away thousands of free slices so they can try it for themselves.”

Edwards will be giving away 25,000 free slices of Midnight Chocolate pie in partnership with actor Jason Biggs, known for his role in American Pie. From now until Oct. 14, consumers can enter to win two free slices of pie by visiting the Edwards website.

Outside of the giveaway, Midnight Chocolate pie slices will be available to consumers in the freezer aisle of major retailers nationwide.
