ALAMEDA, CA — Donsuemor, a US manufacturer of traditional French madeleines, recently introduced Lemon Zest Madeleines to Costco Wholesale Clubs in western Canada as a limited-time offer.

Donsuemor’s Traditional Madeleines, the company’s most notable French-inspired product, is currently available the region’s Costco stores, but the bakery added a “twist” with its new variety by infusing lemon flavor into the buttery sponge cake.

“Our team embraces artisanal tradition and authenticity in all our creations,” said Susan Q. Davis, Donsuemor CEO. “We still use our same basic recipe and process from more than 40 years ago, which helps us to infuse new flavors into our timeless classic.”

Davis noted that the success of the traditional product prompted the company to expand the lemon variety into Canada.
