MINNEAPOLIS — David’s Deli, a Crystal Farms Dairy Co. bagel brand, listened to consumer demand for protein-forward products and launched its first-ever Protein Bagels.

The new line — available in Cinnamon, Plain and Everything flavors — is made with a blend of wheat protein isolate and soy protein, totaling 16 grams of it per bagel.

“Our David’s Deli Bagels offer the perfect versatile staple, packing protein for consumers interested in increasing their protein intake,” said Tim Bratland, president of Crystal Farms Dairy. “From parents looking to sneak in a protein boost to fitness and health enthusiasts looking to increase their overall protein intake to those who just love bagels, this line of protein bagels is for everyone.”

Consumers in the Midwest can now find the new pre-sliced, certified kosher option in the refrigerated aisle at grocers including Cub, Piggly Wiggly, Roundy’s and Festival Foods, with additional distribution set for this summer.
