Date set for 2026 ANSI Z50 meeting

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Beyond the programming during BakingTECH, set for Feb. 17-19 in Chicago, the American Society of Baking (ASB) has set a date for the next meeting of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z50 Safety and Sanitation Committee.

This year, the group will meet during ASB’s annual event on Feb. 17 at 1:30 in the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk.

Agenda items include the ANSI Audit Report; updates on both the ANSI/ASB Z50.1-2006 (R2016) Bakery Equipment Safety Requirements standard and the ANSI/ASB Z50.2-2015 (R2020) Bakery Equipment Sanitation Requirements standard; and procedures for annual ANSI compliance and the Bakery Equipment Assessment Group, also known as BEAG.

Looking ahead, the committee will reunite for the next meeting on Feb. 21, 2027, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.
