KANSAS CITY, MO — In efforts to enhance plant efficiency, safety and sanitation, Coperion announced its upcoming Industrial Ventilation Systems — Foundation and Design Course, designed to empower industry professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to optimize dust collection systems.

The course — led by Andrew Ray, a senior ventilation engineer at Coperion and set for March 23-25 in Kansas City, MO  — will feature hands-on components for participants to explore fans, ductwork, filtration media, control valves, dampers and hoods, all of which will contribute to learning how to control airflow and manipulate system components effectively.

“Our customers’ focus is on delivering the best quality end product, so dust collection may not always be their primary focus, but it is one of those behind-the-scenes processes that makes the entire plant more efficient, sanitary, and safe,” said Zack Griffey, sales manager of filtration at Coperion. “This course is tailored to help our customers understand and enhance their dust collection systems, preventing issues before they arise and ensuring their plants operate at peak performance.”

The course will emphasize ductwork design and the entire system layout, both key factors in achieving optimal filtration performance. A significant portion of the training will also involve working alongside peers to share solutions and address common challenges encountered across various facilities.

Coperion’s Industrial Ventilation Systems course is ideal for engineers, process designers, maintenance professionals, and industry stakeholders across sectors such as the powdered food and baking industries.

“We aren’t interested solely in selling dust collection components, but in helping customers improve systems,” Griffey concluded. “Education is part of the partnership.”

The Industrial Ventilation Systems — Foundation and Design Course has a registration fee of $500. For more information, visit the course website.
