KANSAS CITY, MO — Commercial Baking, the flagship title of Avant Food Media, received two Regional Azbee Awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) for the Central region.

Season 9 of the Troubleshooting Innovation podcast — which features Darlene Nicosia, CEO of Hearthside Food Solutions and is sponsored by Reading Bakery Systems — received the Regional Gold Award in the Online – Podcast category.
“We wouldn’t have a great podcast without exceptional guests who offer real thought leadership and insight,” said Joanie Spencer, editor-in-chief of Commercial Baking and host of Troubleshooting Innovation. “Darlene Nicosia may be relatively new to the baking industry, but she’s a heavy hitter in CPG leadership, and she knows how to be a good customer and vendor. In the Print – Special Issue or Supplement category, the 2023 Innovations Annual took home a Regional Silver Award.
