SAN ANTONIO — C.H. Guenther (CHG) — parent company of CookieTree, Michael’s Cookies and more — announced Paul Tripp as VP and managing director for Europe operations. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the baking and food industry.

In his most recent roles, Tripp has specialized in business transformation and implementing programs to achieve operational excellence and develop growth strategies.

“Paul’s expertise in building high-performing teams and delivering long-term value through innovation and strategic leadership aligns perfectly with CHG’s purpose, vision, mission and values,” said Rod Hepponstall, CHG’s president and CEO.

Prior to joining CHG, Tripp served as CEO of Zertus UK & Ireland, which includes Kinnerton Confectionery, Lir Chocolates, and Humdinger Foods. He successfully united the UK businesses into a single operating unit and spearheaded the creation of a new brand and the acquisition of a snacking competitor, Sun Valley. During his tenure, he transformed EBITDA from a loss to record levels of profitability.
